The Sketchbook Project - 2011
Have you guys heard of The Sketchbook Project - 2011? It's a really neat project I encourage you to go check it out!
"Thousands of sketchbooks will be exhibited at galleries and museums as they make their way on tour across the United States. After the tour, all sketchbooks will enter into the permanent collection of The Brooklyn Art Library, where they will be barcoded and available for the public to view. Anyone - from anywhere in the world - can be a part of the project."
I have signed up for it, and even have one on the way for the Peanut. We are looking forward to getting our little hands on those suckers and start creating our masterpieces. It's kinda neat that you can digitally track them and see who signs them out and views them. On the other hand, would kinda suck if yours never gets viewed - at least you could have imagined it was being viewed and ogled over... Sometimes ignorance is bliss...
I would also like to issue a very warm thank you to Kim from Sandbox Gems, who also happens to make some neat handmade jewelry, as well as Claire from Thoughts from the Wells, and last but definitely NOT least tammy from Nurse's Notes, for this Versatile Blogger Award (yep, 3 awesome ladies had the same brainstorm of presenting moi with this gem):
I don't know about you, but this week seems to be a crazy one for me, and the weekend can't come fast enough...
