Dandelions

You know what, I may be of the complete minority, but I just LOVE the bunches, and glasses full of dandelions that my daughter picks for me.

I think they look beautiful all together, and some of the stragglier ones too. Or maybe its just the smile that it brings to my heart watching her in all her glory running and picking them, then that heartfelt look she gives me while handing me this beautiful bundle of yelllowness.

What are your favourite flowers?

How pretty!

My favorite flowers are Summer Stargazer (that was my wedding bouquet!) and Hibiscus :)

Dandelions are my favorite too because I loved them so much as a kid. One day a flower, then an 'old lady,' then bald after you blow away the seeds.

Any flowers that are brought to you in the hands of your child are precious. We used to have these weeds that grew wild with little purple flowers on them and my boys always picked them for me and they stayed in a vase until every one of them was wilted.

Otherwise, my favorites are lilies because they remind me of my grandmother.

Thanks for joining my Blog Frog community. I'm so glad I clicked over. What a fun lot of goodness. Your black background definitely sets off your colorful pics and your peanut is a sweetie.
I remember, when getting ready for bed, there would often be a Dixie cup with pansies (or dandelions!) waiting for me on my night stand. This was left by one of my darling little boys. You can't buy things like that!

Warmly, Michelle

You are not alone! The best flowers are always what my children pick for me, no matter what they are.

My other favorite is poppies...they are my absolute favorite flower.

My favorite flowers are daisies and gardenias. I laughed when I read your post because just last week I was remembering when I was a child (centuries ago!) and picked numerous bouquets of dandelions and clovers and proudly presented them to my mother. She always made such a wonderful fuss over them, putting them in water and putting them in the middle of the table for everyone to see!

not to mention that dandelions can be made into wine.
