Cookie Monster Waffles and the Little Joys of life

Have you ever stopped to think about all the things in this world that make you happy? I mean truly happy? Both the BIG things and the little things. Although sometimes the little things, really are the BIG things. The other day I splurged and bought a Sesame Street Waffle Maker from Home Hardware. Definitely not a HUGE purchase, but wasn't exactly in my budget either...

But couldn't resist. The peanut loves waffles, and I figured making our own would be a lot cheaper and healthier than buying Eggos. Plus, that just means many more meaningful times spent together making them.

Boy, this Mom knows a good deal when she sees one!!!! We had so much fun making these suckers :)
And the smiles that radiated from that little face, more than made up for the Kraft dinner meals we will have to eat to keep on budget, LOL!!!

The Peanut pouring some Cookie Monster & Elmo waffles.

Little Miss Peanut cooking her waffles...

Finished product before they were hoovered up :)

The batch we made, produced 18 waffles, so I just put them between waxed paper, placed in a ziplock baggie, and put in the freezer. Then there they are, whenever we want them, we just pop them in the toaster, and voila!!!

Truth is, whatever the peanut and I do together, we have a blast! But we really enjoy our time in the kitchen, gettin' our groove on to some music, and cooking or baking up a storm :)

This was definitely one of the many little joys of our life together. Two waffle making fools...

What are some of the little joys in your life?

Love that waffle maker! So cute!

My little joy in life is when the boys and I cuddle up on the couch, with some air popped popcorn and watch a movie. We don't get to do this often, but I love it!

Your waffle maker is so cute. As for things that make me happy - I find the kitchen is a great place for that as that's where cupcakes and cookies are made at mine.
