Pay it Forward Fridays

Another week gone by, and a crazy week it has been. And although I am still amazed at the craziness that is in the world, I am also full aware of its beauty.

This Friday (and this weekend) I want you to think about your life and how truly fortunate you are. Yes, we all have bills to pay, and may even have some unwanted negativity or some people who just won't leave you alone, or some traumatic events you are dealing with or..... the list is endless...

But there is always someone worse off than you. There is always someone who could really use your help, your smile, a friend.  I want you to think about all the good in your life right now, think about all of the things you are grateful for, write them down if you need help in visualizing them.

Then I want you to do something for someone that would help them with their gratitude list. Doesn't have to be necessarily a BIG thing, could be just a small thing. Embrace the Pay it Forward concept, and exercise random acts of kindness. Reach in and massage the humanist within yourself.

And don't forget to have a great weekend!!

Don't forget to link up your great posts - cuz I know you are all totally inspired now....

It is good to be reminded of all the wonderful things I have to be thankful for... In fact I was making a list just last night. Now to go out in the world and find someone who needs an act of kindness... It kind of makes me feel like a super hero!

Sometimes it's hard to look past our own situations and see the good in our lives, especially when going through a personal tragedy. It's easy to bully yourself mentally and feel as if you have nothing good and you never will again. This is a really good post. It's important to remember that someone else has it worse than I do and that I have a lot to be grateful for.

Stopping by from Mom Loop Friday Follow. :)

Timely post for me this week. Some crushing issues going on with my business, so I hopped on FB for a mental break. There, I learned an FB connection from an adoption group had passed away. She was under 30, and a mom for less than 6 months. I literally closed QuickBooks (accounting program), got up, and drove home to see my kids and hug the hubs. It put my problems in perspective in an instant. Have a wonderful weekend!

I am so thankful for blogging and friends! I'm thankful for my husband... he has been so loving lately and is really trying hard to be a great husband; it makes me pray for help and work hard to be a much better wife and serve him more... I really want to serve him more. I'm thankful that homeschooling is going so well. I'm thankful that I can be a support to others who are homeschooling. That is one of the things I have done lately. I had a commentor ask for advice on my blog, so I'm trying to post a few things about homeschooling for her and for anyone they can bless. I figure I can pay forward the confidence and peace that God has given to me by sharing homeschooling encouragement to other homeschooling mom's. I have blogged about homeschooling a lot lately. It takes a bit of time... but I really love to add insight where it is wanted and needed. I hope it helps someone. :)

Thank you for your encouragement and reminder to serve; you are awesome! :D

Yes, there will always be something, but if you take the good things in life, you must also take the bad. And it's the bad stuff that makes us appreciate all that good stuff :) Thanks for stopping by!

I am so sorry for what you are going thru Sherri. I for one, know nothing about MS, and cannot even imagine what it is like to be in your shoes right now. I am grateful for so much, including friends like you. And I am glad you get to keep your marbles ;)

Thanx Lis. I've had a tumultuous past decade, and sometimes it is so easy to go down that road of self pity, especially when you are in survival mode. Every now and again you need to get a swift slap upside the head to remind yourself of how truly you actually are. I am very grateful for the life I have been given.

I totally agree. I have had huge life changing moments from some least expected moments of kindness from friends, and strangers alike. I have been blessed by many acts of kindness :)
